Mike and Heather have been running this 16th century country freehold public house for 20 years. We are pleased to offer you a traditional pub that has great Ales (mainly sourced from local or micro breweries) and really great homemade food (some with a slight twist) and not a restaurant that sells beer! With the help of our customers and friendly staff we offer you a great atmosphere, which is also due to no music, juke boxes, fruit machines or television screens.

Originally The Red Lion was a coaching inn on one of the main routes out of London towards the West. Chenies is a small village in Buckinghamshire and is only 5 minutes drive from the M25 (map). Apart from ourselves the village also boasts a famous Manor House (Chenies Manor), a very comfortable hotel and some wonderful routed walks along the River Chess.

Walkers with clean boots are welcome (or leave them at the door).

We are a dog friendly pub (so long as they are clean and well behaved). Please keep them on a lead.

Unfortunately, due to the laws of the land, we are not allowed to accept children under the age of 14, except in our outside seating area when under adult supervision.

There is a car park at the rear and on the road outside.
